Before Orlando Strasse existed, there was another name.
In 2008, a project called Strabe Heilige — “holy street” — never saw the light of day. It stayed on paper. A year later, a group of German friends corrected the spelling of a word — “Strasse,” street — and that small detail, almost by accident, ended up naming something much bigger.
Orlando Strasse was born in 2009 in San Diego, Valencia, Venezuela, in the middle of a scene breathing rap, reggae, and raggamuffin. It wasn't a brand built by watching the street from the outside — it was built from within. Direct relationships with the artists, camera in hand documenting every collaboration, every session, every story. Every collection launched the way it deserved: with release parties where fashion, music, and art shared the same street.
Seven years of walking that path, until the country's economic reality stopped it in its tracks. What followed was a quiet journey — Ecuador, then Spain — with no room to pick it back up.
